Rocky Neds Boulders

SCOPE:Selected trail alignment, hand bench trail, creating features utilising local natural materials. This site has very high cultural and heritage significance. Trail alignment was selected to encourage users to avoid significant cultural sights allowing for other views and approaches to the boulders present. Star of the West Walking Trail

SCOPE: Hand cut trail utilising natural features to incorporate into construction of stairs, pitching rock, corralling features. Trail corridor flows through noted mining heritage area with cultural and heritage concerns. Location: Kevington, Victoria, AustraliaClient: DEECA (government agency)Completion Date: June 2025

LOWER HOWQUA FEEDER EQUINE & WALKING TRAIL

SCOPE:Rebuild trail and drainage using hand tools following extensive storm damage. Maintain vegetation of trail corridor mitigating trail hazards. Maintain vegetation of corridor. Weed management of trail network. Remove hazardous vegetation from trail and trail corridor. Restructure trail surface addressing the compaction and displacement of soils to improve drainage, user comfort and safety. Craigs Hut to Long Spur Equine & Walking Trail

SCOPE:Selected the best trail alignment within approved window and clear vegetation suitable for Equine and Bushwalking groups
Reestablish trail corridor after substantial fire damage using mini excavator capping with introduced toppings and improving drainage and trail structure. A combined walking and horse trail with very high usage. New works included contouring realignments hazard reduction and rock bar step over drains with reverse drainage. Monument to Craigs Hut EQUINE & Walking Trail

SCOPE: Improve trail Structure and drainage using hand tools. Maintain vegetation of trail corridor mitigating trail hazards. Trail is utilised by remote hiking and Equine users. Maintaining subtle yet defined trail and trail corridor. Project location: Mansfield State Forest Client company: DEECA – Department of Energy, Environment and Climate Action Completed Date: November 2024

Mount Buller Summit Nature Walk

SCOPE:Reintroduce stairs to southern side of trail within Mountain Pygmy Possum habitat. Apply and compact introduced toppings to trail surface maintaining reverse grade drainage locations. Corralling with local rock and natural materials. Restructure trail surface and drainage.Improved drainage minimising spread of newly spread toppings ensuring natural corridor is maintained. Wire Plains cross country ski trail repair

SCOPE:Undertake full audit of trail network. Reinstate drainage works including addition of culverts, batter drainage, tidy of vegetation corridor.Improved drainage and trail structure to assist with snow retention complementing winter grooming and skier safety. Identified and rectified drainage concerns. Removed tree stumps and trail hazards from trail and trail corridor. Revegetation works reducing soil erosion and maintain water quality. Rocky Neds Falls Walking Trail

SCOPE:Select trail alignment, hand bench trail, remove vegetation, utilise local materials to create steps, pitched rock to stabilise outer edge of trail, corralling rock. Manage vegetation, undertaking hand work utilising local materials within trail and trail corridor. Creating gradient changes with local materials with a strong awareness for cultural and heritage concerns.

Plain Creek Walking Trail

SCOPE:Repair drainage creating turn pike raised trail through wet areas, realign trail with hand benching to avoid constant wet zones, reinstate side drainage and cross drains. Identify and remove hazards from trail improving drainage whilst maintaining sediment control. Improve trail surface for walkers, repairing root ball damage and drainage concerns Project location: Merrijig, Victoria Client company: DEECA – Department of Energy, Environment and Climate Action Completion: December 2022

LIMA FALLS Walking Trail

SCOPE: Remove pine stairs and star pickets from trail and replace with local rock from trail corridor and hand benching. Project location: Lima, Strathbogie Ranges Victoria Client company: DEECA – Department of Energy, Environment and Climate Action Completion Date: April 2021

Mount Timbertop walking trail

SCOPE:Realign steep sections of trail to create a more user-friendly approach to walk, improving drainage and reducing future maintenance utilising local onsite materials. Area is of high cultural and heritage significant. All works to be undertaken with hand tools. Project location: Merrijig Victoria Client company: DEECA – Department of Energy, Environment and Climate Action Competed date - December 2015

Bindaree Falls Walking Trail

SCOPE: Repair corridor of trail to reduce width and improve drainage points and stairs. Trail was originally cut by machine leaving wide open exposed corridor with no feel for location. Supply rock and construct with hand tools. Project location: Mansfield State Park, Victoria Client company: DEECA – Department of Energy, Environment and Climate Action Completion date: December 2014
